The Artists’ Circle Fraternity, with the initiative of its Alumni Foundation, hosted talks by PIXAR animator Ronnie del Carmen last Tuesday at the College of Fine Arts Lobby. A crowd of Fine Arts Major and the faculty attended the event which discussed animation techniques and career in digital arts. Merienda was served afterwards care of Brod. Pete Jiemenez ’78, who just arrived from Los Angeles.
Students were able to interact with Ronnie and other AC Alumni after the talk. Everyone was grateful for the event. Students took time off the class schedules to listen to Ronnie who prepared among a loadful of stories, a presentation of his craft.
Ronnie is doing talks about his animation techniques and experiences at other venues for free. He is the animator of PIXAR’s “Finding Nemo” and many other blockbuster animated movie. It is his first time in the country after twelve years.
