Members of the UP Artists’ Circle are at the forefront of the many different fields and disciplines of art, academe and government service. They include: Armand Bacaltos, Ramon Jimenez, Jeff Dizon, Rock Drilon, Leonardo Rosete, Mariano del Rosario, Luisito Ac-Ac, Karen Flores, Bernardo Pacquing, Mark Meily, Dino Ignacio, Hubert San Juan, Poklong Anading , Ranelle Dial, Ferdinand Doctolero, Dayang Yraola, Dengcoy Miel, Popo San Pascual, Lex Marcos, Tomas Leonor, Eufemio Rasco, Brisa Amir, Marina Cruz, and Rodel Tapaya, to name a few.

To celebrate its 46th anniversary, the AC presents At The Moment (ATM), a group exhibit that brings together a selection of works in various media from its alumni who are currently making bold marks in the art scene and have continuously been active and dedicated art practitioners. Featured are the works by Roberto Acosta, Francis Bejar, Gino Bueza, Benjie Cabangis, Jan Calleja, Ernest Concepcion, Cian Dayrit, Neil Doloricon, Philipp Ines, Pete Jimenez, Josue Mangrobang, Jim Orencio, Jules Ozaeta, Paul Quiaño, Issay Rodriguez and Manolo Sicat. Highlights of their works include modern ways of reviving a traditional print process to photo-based narratives addressing disparate issues, inter-media works that cross fact and fiction to the breaking of text and images in painting. Between using a terra cotta figure as a painting ground to the play and wit of iron as a sculptural media, the collection is a sampling of the artists’ broad repertoire of interests and aspirations, modes and methods, united to pursue and share their passion for creative excellence.

With varied persuasions, sensibilities and leanings, their works take a diversified stance on a number of themes and subjects reflecting contemporary and at the moment scenarios.

At The Moment exhibit will open on June 2, 2018 and will be on view until June 21, 2018.
